LED GN Drives

So back when I built the Master Grade Exia, I had an option to add an LED unit that would illuminate to recreate the particle dispersal lighting.

Well they didn't include any in the box because guess what you have to get them separately...........

For those of you who do not know what a GN Drive is, they are the main power source of a Gundam, there are only 4 original drives that went into 4 Gundams in the Gundam 00 series and they illuminate Green lighting.

The ones that illuminate Red may look cooler but are knockoffs created in the series to counter the Gundams through stolen technology. Story goes on...........

Green is Good - Red is bad!

These LEDs are compatible with all 1/100 scale Gundams from the show, Gundam 00. Namely the 00 Quanta, 00 Gundam, GN-X.

I happened to come across an interesting sale and picked up a box of GN drives in Green that I will be using for future builds and another box of GN drives in Red.

This is what the box looks like

This is what the LED looks like

This is the component which houses the LED, THIS is a GN Drive!

Simply remove the casing and insert the LED, the LED can be shut off by twisting the GN Drive clockwise. I wanted to use the Red one with Exia, go figure........

And this is what the drive looks like inserted and illuminated

Lego Technic Porsche 911 RSR

Since my first build of Technic Getaway Racer and Interceptor, I had always felt curious and wanted to build something on a larger scale.

I browsed through multiple sets of Trucks and Cars and couldn't quite make the decision, so I settled for the Porsche RSR 911, it appeared to be an easy build with over 1500 parts, I never thought it would take me over 12 hours to build this thing into an operational state.

But the trade off for the effort is quite cool, you get moving pistons, working suspension and you could even integrate LEDs or RC kits into it, if you so wish.

I personally think the model looks NOTHING like the car that it is based off of.

Since this is based off of an actual race track car in real time, I did not was to keep to its original aesthetics and ordered extra parts to have the rims in Red. To my surprise, the fenders weren't the right size from factory and so I opted order Red fenders. Still think the Red fenders aren't quite completing the look, may need to get them in white again but the wheels, most definitely couldn't have stayed black.

Then began the build, having built a ton of Gunpla, I didn't think this would take very long as there is literally no panel lining, painting nor any part adjustments of any kind but the 1580 pieces took their toll and accumulated to 2 nights worth full-time labor.

Intricate details make this special, the entire suspension component does operate like a real vehicle

Starting to look like an actual frame

This is when I started to realize, it wouldn't fit on any shelf

Almost there in 2nd day of the build

Right: You can see the original Black wheels, I didn't want to put them on so I waited for the Red ones to arrive.

7 days later the wheels arrived and then there were the fenders that didn't fit, so it remained incomplete for a month.

Meanwhile I replaced the translucent white lights to Yellow for track accuracy

Finally the fenders arrived and completed the build, the fenders to my visual opinion look out of place and I may need to replace them by ordering another pair in white yet again. For now, it is complete.

Arms Micron Dark Matter Calibur Sword!

What is an Arms Micron? Simple, Minicons that amplify a Transformer. This one is an exclusive that is hard to obtain and well I finally have it so there's the excitement for ya!

These 3 are the Dark version of the previously posted versions in below links: (referred to as Dark Matter Calibur)

https://ludacrisadventures.blogspot.com/2013/02/arms-micron-dark-caliber-sword.html

https://ludacrisadventures.blogspot.com/2013/02/arms-micron-gaia-unicron-and-his-new.html

Anyhow, I needed to obtain a "darker" version of the "dark" sword to provide the right amount of "darkness" to my Nemesis Prime with Unicron's Armor.

Left: Crab
Middle: Crocodila
Right: Vulture

Crocodila becomes a handheld gun

Crabby becomes a handheld sword

Vulture becomes a ...butcher's knife?

The point is, these Minicons can be used with other Transformers figures as separate weapons

Now the best part, they combine to form the Dark Matter Calibur sword!

and this is how it looks wielded by a figure

Its Red! It's a 2015 Ferrari 488!

I actually want this car in future to be my daily driver! For now, the model will do for motivation. Ironically this came as a gift. Enjoy the pictures!

S.H Figuarts Captain America

"God's righteous man" "I can't physically throw up in my mouth"

Exactly that, this wasn't an intentional purchase, I only wanted the shield, then it turned out, I was sent an original copy and it was just too good to strip for parts and so here it is,

No Mjolnir

"And they used to make a Frisbee" Damn cool Frisbee....

Enjoy!
